Heat Pump Guide (EN)

Heat pumps: error codes, servicing and costs — explained in plain English.

Privacy policy

Who runs these sites

The editorial team behind these guides (see the contact page) is the data controller for personal data processed when you read them. There are no accounts, sign-ups, forms or shopping carts.

What the web server records

Each page view is written to the web server log (nginx): your IP address, timestamp, requested path, HTTP status code, referring page (if any) and browser identifier (user-agent). We use this only for diagnostics, incident and abuse detection, and counting traffic. We do not build profiles and we do not sell or hand these logs over. Logs rotate daily and are kept for no longer than 14 days.

Cookies and trackers

No cookies are set. The light/dark theme you choose by hand is stored in localStorage in your own browser; it is not used for tracking and disappears with site data. No analytics tools and no ad networks are in use today; if we enable any, this policy is updated first.

Links to other services

Some links are affiliate links (marked at the link; details on the affiliate disclosure page). Once you click one, your data (including IP address and browser identifier) reach the merchant or affiliate network, and their privacy terms apply — not ours.

E-mail

Domain addresses are handled through Cloudflare Email Routing, so Cloudflare processes the forwarded message on its way to our inbox. We keep correspondence only as long as needed to settle the matter. Please do not send sensitive material such as account numbers or financial details.

Where data is stored

The sites are served from a server in Germany (netcup hosting). We do not transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area.

Your rights

You can ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability or object to processing — one e-mail from the contact page is enough. We answer without undue delay. If you think we process data unlawfully, lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in Poland: the President of the UODO).

Legal basis and changes

Server logs and site operation rely on the legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Policy changes are published here with a date; earlier versions are available on request.
